MN Children's Museum

Sunday we took the Boys to the
Since Evan is in Mrs. Koerper's "Clifford" Class he was especially excited to see Clifford!We were waiting in line to use the restrooms up on the second floor, when Jabin looked down and saw Clifford on the first floor. "THERE'S CLIFFORD!!!," He said. So we made a mad dash down the stairs to see him. {Good Job Jabin!!} The Boys gave him a few Hugs! Then, we went to the restrooms. :)
This was the Clifford in the Main Clifford exhibit. There were lots of things you could do in here! Side down Clifford, feed him bones, read books, draw a picture for Clifford's Dog House, and play some instruments.
This was Jabin's Favorite thing!! He put on the Police Officer Outfit and walked around the Little Town for a LONG time. Now he wants his own Police Officer Outfit. {I told him I would "ask" around, so if you might have one for sale Please let us know! Thanks!! :)}

Evan liked the Fire Fighter outfit.
It was funny to see him walk around in those BIG boots!!

After we spent 3 hours at the Children's Museum, we went to CandyLane for a Whirly Pop and caramel corn!! :) It was a fun Family day!!

Duluth Retreat Weekend 2009

The weekend was booked MONTHS ago!!
A Retreat Weekend for us Wasabi Stampin' Chicks! :)
Planned by Angie.Danielle drove. There were 4 of us going in her van. YES, this was all our stuff!!
We did make a stop in Pine City, MN at a few Stores.
and
Discount Scrapbooking/Stamping
{tell them Ann sent you and they give you 10% off...Right Ann?? :)}
{{I can't find my card with the web address??}}

****THIS WAS NOT US, Just an accident we drove by****

We ran into BAD weather on the way up!! Danielle kept her Cool...{OK she tried to keep her cool} with accidents everywhere, crazy drivers and slippery hilly roads. A car got T-boned RIGHT next to us, on a hill while we were STUCK trying to go up and couldn't move. We couldn't back-up because the car behind us was SO close.

We managed to get out of the situation with out an accident. It was a GREAT feeling just to get to the house we rented!! We ordered Pizza because we didn't want to go back out on the roads. Sandy & Bonnie arrived not to long after we all got there. They didn't encounter incidents like ours!!

I found these tins at Target and couldn't resist the "Wasabi" colored Peep Chicks!
I made one for each of us.

I don't have a picture, I think Angie does, but I did get my Circle Scissor Plus right before we left so I brought it with. That was the First thing I went to use and as I was taking the blade guard off, I cut my finger!! Only ME!! :)
Needless to say I put that away and started on Baby cards.
Yep, the time is 2.
2 AM that is!!
By 2 am I made 18 baby cards!! I was so proud!! :)

Saturday we went to another Stamp Store in Duluth called
We ate lunch at the mall, did some shopping and went back to Stamp.
Stampin' Away!!

WASABI Stampin' Chicks
Angie, Ann, Me, Bonnie, Sandy & Danielle

Angie, Danielle & I with our fun PJ Pants and a Strawberry Daiquiri made by Angie!

This is what Ann made us for breakfast on Sunday Morning!! It was a blue berry french toast bake with cream cheese chunks in it! It was SOOOOOO Good!!

I made little boxes for the Chloe and The Boys. I found Evan a Thomas Stamp and Jabin a little monkey & a monkey stamp. Bonnie bought Chloe a little horse.

This was my work space. :) I gotta have my Pepsi!
I seen a stamp Saturday that said:
"With enough caffeine I could rule the world!"
Sunday we headed home. We laughed most of the way. Mostly about the weekend. Then a Blazer passed us and he was pulling a trailer with mattresses in it. It was very windy... One of the mattresses flew out of the trailer and landed on the side of the road. We laughed about that! :)
We stopped in Spooner, WI to eat supper. Bonnie & Sandy found us there! :) MORE laughing happened there. We made it home. I was dropped off at around 7:30 pm.
Greg & the Boys were VERY happy to see me! :) {I really did miss them!}
When I gave them their gifts, Evan had a tear in his eye, because he was so happy he got a Thomas Stamp! {We didn't have one and I have been LOOKING & Looking for one!!} Jabin liked his monkey stuff, too.

My Mom had the Boys for a few Hours on Friday, Greg picked them up after work. Then it was just Greg & The Boys all weekend. They did go see Greg's brothers on Saturday. Then they went to Fleet Farm and got new Rain Boots on Sunday. They had a good weekend, too.

Thanks for the Fun Weekend Wasabi Stampin' Chicks!! :)

A Rochester Visit

Since the Boys are on Spring Break this week we went to visit My Dad & Linda in Rochester. Greg took the day off so he could go with. The kids got to visit with Gr & Gr while Greg & I had a hot date at Bust Buy! :) {We only spent $9.62 on a new memory card for our camera.} Tina & Amaya were there because Amaya had an appointment at the Clinic. Amanda came over to see us since she lives near my Dad.
After we got back and ate cookies, we all went to the Quarry Hill Nature Center in Rochester, MN. The kids ran around. {it must of been the cookies!} It was feeding time so the kids thought that was cool to see. The boys bird watching...

Later we went back to my Dad & Linda's house and we had hot cheesy chicken sandwiches. {They were yummy Linda!!} After we visited for a bit we headed back home.

We had a fun day!!
Thanks Dad & Linda!! :)

The Boys...

The Boys are on Spring Break this week.
Jabin was sick last Wednesday, and Evan wasn't himself either. {fevers & coughing} So they missed school Thurs & Friday. They are better now. Jabin still has a cough and the two of them have still been getting up {at different times!} at night... that just means I'm tired!! I wanted to share some pictures they made:Jabin drew this self-portrait! I found this picture by Evan in the back of one of his school papers. It brought a tear to my eye, I tell ya! If you can't read it he wrote, "I like to play with my mom". Here they are with their babies. {Jabin's Baby Tony!!} They were taking care of them and pushing them around in the stroller. They will make GREAT Dads someday! :) {Evan forgot to dress his baby! But he did go to the kitchen with the bottles to warm them up!! :)}

Today was nice out so we went for a little walk in the back of our woods. There is LOTS of mud to play in now that the snow is melting! It will be a busy week around here for being "Spring Break!!" I'll get my break over the weekend!! :)

A {Sweet} Card Fold Tutorial

I didn't know what to "name" this card fold. I LOVE it!! I think it is {Sweet} because you use ALL the base card stock, so there is very little scrap!! :)Here is the "how to" part:

You will need these supplies for 2 cards:

1~ 8 1/2" X 11" pc of Card Stock

2~ 3"x4" pcs of Designer Series Paper***

2~ pcs of 2 1/4" x 4" pc of Card Stock to Stamp images on

Paper Cutter w/Score Blade. {I used my cutter & Scor-Pal}

Stamps, Ink, Ribbon, Adhesive, Markers, scalloped edge punch, glue pen & glitter. Score your 8 1/2" x 11" pc of card stock {on the 11' side} at 5 1/2".

With your paper cutter cut your card stock on the 8 1/2" side at 4 1/4". This will give you two cards bases.Next, Cut off 2 1/2" from the top end of each card base. This will give you a 2 1/2" X 4 1/4" pc that is the "layer pc" for the 2 1/4" x 4" card stock stamped pc. The reason I like to "score" first is because then I know where to fold the top of the card after I cut the "layer pc" off.
{3x4 dsp & card stock pc to stamp on}

With this done you can use a scalloped edge punch on the flap of your card bases. Stamp what you want. To assemble your card attach the DSPaper to the inside of the card. Use adhesive to layer your stamped pc to the "layer pc".

Only add adhesive to the top of the stamped & layered pc and add to the card base. Attach ribbon. Here is what the card will look like when you open it:

Here is the same {sweet} card fold, I just had it open from the side.

If you would like more information on the products used to make these cards please contact me via e-mail: stampinandy@yahoo.com
To order products on-line 24/7 visit:
thanks for looking!!
andy :)

*** the reason I cut our 12x12 dsPaper to 3x4 is because you can get 12 pcs from one sheet of DSP!! I LOVE that!! Just cut your 12x12 dsPaper into 3~4"x12" strips. Then cut each strip into the 3"x4" pcs.

W & Th Stamp Club Cards For March 2009

Here are the cards we made at my stamp club this month.
This card uses the Sale~A~Bration set Botanical Blooms and has a Chocolate Chip card base. The flower outlines are stamped in Chocolate Chip ink and the solid part of the flower is Pink Pirouette. I just love this color combo!!
These two cards feature the Sale~A~Bration Ribbon Bundle and Delicate Dots DSP. They also use two level one Hostess Sets Darling Dots and Sweet Little Sentiments. The card base is Certainly Celery and I used Sahara Sand ink & card stock. I used the Many Marvelous Markers to color the stamp images, "huffed" and stamped on the Whisper White. These cards feature my new "Sweet" Card Fold!! :) We used a Kiwi Kiss card base, Good Morning Sunshine DSP and the set Wild About You on the card above. Below we used a Regal Rose card base, the set Flight of the Butterfly, and Sweet Always DSP.

Miss Chloe's Stampin' Birthday Party!!

Chloe's Stampin' Birthday Party was yesterday! All the Kids had a good time. We made a paper bag brag book, a little bound book and they stamped 2 cards. The things the kids made were so cute! Unfortunately I didn't put my memory card back in my camera, so I couldn't take lots of pictures. :( Chloe Chloe, Me and some FriendsLook at that work table!! Mine NEVER gets like that! {HA!!} Evan and Jabin are in their "handsome" white shirts. They picked them out for the party. I was going to wear a pink shirt, but they thought I should wear a "handsome" shirt also, so they picked out a black one for me. :)
Check out the Cake!! Our Friend Tara made it to coordinate with the invitations I made.

I can't take the credit for this cute card & gift bag by Sandy. But she said she pulled an "Andy". What I like to do is stamp a card and put it in a clear envelope. Then I add that to a plain gift bag with Stampin' Dimentionals. :) {Cute Sandy!!}
