My Stamp Room as of April '09 :)

Here is my Stamp Room.
I say "as of April '09" because it always changes! :)
*here* is what it looked like last October.
Last week I started taking EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING out of the room so that Greg & I could put the base trim in the room. What a Job it has been. The Trim part was a piece of cake compared to going through all my stuff!!
I finished getting everything back in yesterday. The living room no longer has tables full of stuff! :) And now I am happy to be done and I did clean out lots of old papers & stuff, so it is nice to have a fresh new start in my room! :)

I found this little dresser at a yard sale for $5.
I bought some black paint and my Mom came over and painted it for me. {Thanks again Mom! :)} Greg bought me the drawer pulls. {Thanks Honey! :)} I use it for my Big Shot Dies and cutting pads. I would put my Big Shot ON the dresser, but I needed to put my ink pad holder ON it since I can't hang it ON the wall and I didn't know were else to put the ink pads. This will work! :)

My work table. I bought some bed risers at IKEA to put under the table legs.
I LOVE the table height now!

Here are my book cases FULL my stamping goodies.
The Boys STILL get two shelves for their stuff. They do spend
lots of time in the room with or without me! :)
This cute shelf was another yard sale find.
{Claudia I was with you when I bought it for $5 :)}
It was brown so a few weeks ago I painted it Black.
I didn't want to spend lots of money on new
drawer pulls so I just took silver spray paint
{only 96 cents!!}
and painted the drawer pulls that were on it.
I LOVE how it turned out!! :)
This shelf has some open spots and I intend to put make-n-take bins there when I am getting ready for a class, club or event. I have room for my bags also!! :)

Now I have to admit it was very hard to fit EVERYTHING back in the room!! I did have to
set up some space in the basement for Extra Supplies & "stuff" that I don't need out all the time.
So that is my room as of April '09...
Knowing me it will change again soon!
Heheheee :)

I {love} Mail!

I {love} mail!!
I like getting the mail.
It is exciting to get a new magazine or a card from someone.
{I could do without the bills & "junk" though!!}
Yesterday I got an unexpected package!!
It was from my up-line Claudia!! She sent me these goodies and a BEAUTIFUL card to Congratulate me on my awesome sale during Sale-A-Bration!! Thanks Claudia!!

Most of all Thank You to my Friends/Customers!!

{or as the Boys call you "Stamping Ladies"}

I am STILL getting my Stamp Room put back together after putting up the base trim Saturday.

Poppin' Pastel Card

This was one of the make-n-takes we made at Annette's workshop Sunday. This was the sample card I made. But in TRUE "andy" fashion as I was going to Demo this card, I realized right then, that I didn't bring the Flower Fancy Stamp Set!!!! :O
Lucky for me {and them} Annette's Daughter said they had a flower set we could use. They had the Sweet Stems Stamp Set. I did my Demo with that set and they ALL liked the "new" card better anyway!! So in the end it ALL worked out!! :)

Annette liked the middle card on the cover of the Idea Book & Catalog. I didn't have all of those items so this was the card I came up with.

If you have a card, technique, or product you would like to see a Demo on, Just Book a workshop with me! You & your Friends will have fun while learning something new! PLUS, you will be the hostess and earn all sorts of goodies!! :)

Wild, Wild West

Jabin & Evan-Ready for Wild, Wild West Day at school!
Tonight the School is having a Wild, Wild West Carnival. It should be fun! :)

This week Evan had a terrible cough and was home from school Mon, Tues & Wed! I sent him yesterday. He wasn't coughing as much last night, so I hope that means he is getting over it!

Jabin came home from school Monday with red, itchy, watery eyes. He woke-up Tuesday and couldn't open his eyes. {That freaked him out!!} It took 20 mins to get his eyes cleaned up. I took him to the Dr and He had Pink Eye. {In both eyes!} So he was home Tues & Wed.

Today Greg woke up with yucky eyes... Pink eye{s} for him, too! Luck for him he was off work today. I need to go to work today since the Boys were home this week, I didn't get to go in.

Tomorrow we are putting the trim in the "Stamp" Room. I have been working on getting everything out!! My Goodness, there is lots of stuff in here!! It is giving me the chance to sort & organize my "stuff"! So that is a good thing!!
I have a workshop on Sunday so I'll share the projects on Monday!!

Have a Great Weekend!!

Hostess Luncheon April 19th, 2009

At the end of each quarter I hold a Hostess Luncheon for My Hostesses and a guest. Sunday was the Hostess Luncheon for last quarter. I made the past Hostesses these little "flower pots" using a coffee cup and adding some Summer Love Rub-Ons, pens that I added a flower to and covered with green florist tape, inside the cup I added some coffee beans to help hold up the flower pens.
The cards were made from the Beautiful Butterflies Die, Raspberry Tart DSP and pink taffeta ribbon. I used a Rose Red card base, Oval All stamp set and the scallop oval punch.
Inside the card I wore:
Thanks for helping my business grow!
Here are all the Flower Pots just waiting to be handed out.
We had Lasagna, garlic bread, fresh fruit and dessert.
Ann brought an Eclair Dessert and I made Chocolate Cherry Bars.
{Thanks Ann for bringing the Fruit and Dessert!}

The Hostess with the Highest Workshop Total was:
Ann R.
CONGRATULATIONS!!
I made this gift for her:
I found this cute jar and added an "A" Decore Element to it and filled it with some goodies.
She reported to me last night that her Kids were very excited about the jar and asked that she filled it with Root Beer Barrels! :)

I also unveiled the next Hostess Luncheon Make-N-Take...
That will be my next post!!
Thanks again to all my Hostess and Customers!!
I truly do appreciate your business!!

Model Train Show April 19th 2009

Sunday Greg & I took the Boys to a Model Train Show in Menomonie, WI.
We didn't tell them where we were going so it was a TOTAL Surprise when we got there!!
They were SO excited once they found out what was going on! :)This layout was great because the guy let the Boys run the trains. Some of the layouts you couldn't touch, and some had buttons for the kids to push that made things move, trains go around and lights turn on.

WOW THOMAS!! :) Pulling Ronald McDonald!
This was one of the layouts that the Boys could push the buttons to make Thomas go.
{Hmmm, Does he look happy or what!?!}

This was Evan's Favorite Layout:
He stood there and watched Thomas go around and around the track. Once in a while he would follow him around the layout, then Evan would go back to his "spot" to watch.

Jabin was playing with a train set.
We spent over two hours at the "Train School". It wasn't a train school, just trains AT a school. The boys just thought it was a "Train School". :)
I'm sure we could have stayed longer, but the Boys were getting hungry and My Hostess were coming over later, So we had to go.
We went to Culver's to eat. While we were eating the Women's Choir from the College in Eau Claire came in, sang 3 songs for us, got some custard and left. :) They sounded wonderful!!
The boys & I slept on the way home. Lucky for us Greg stayed awake! :)
What a fun morning!! :)
