Sweet Treat Cups~ EEK!

Here is a cute little card I had displayed on Sunday. I used the Sweet Centers Stamp Set {116521} and the Sweet Treat Cups {116802} found in the Holiday Mini Catalog. :)

I love how these candies coordinate with the Stampin' Up! colors.

Share Day Pages

The Boys and I have done a few scrapbook pages together.
{Scrapbooking isn't just for Girls, ya know! EVERYONE has moments & memories in life they don't want to forget!}
We worked on some pages over the summer and now that the new school year is here,
it is a great time to scrapbook!
Why?? You may ask...
Share Day!!
Some Teachers would like the students to share news, events and pictures, not bring in toys. This is a GREAT opportunity to scrapbook events and memories with your children!!
The Boys seem to recall details from things, I have forgotten about! So it is nice to have that little extra information to add to your pages.
Here is an example of how the page above came about.
First of all, I have been working on sorting and organizing my photos over the summer. {and I continue to work on it!} That came in handy when it was time to find some pictures for this page.
Jabin wanted to bring his Dinosaur to school. He brought it to school after he got it for Christmas in Pre~School, again in Kindergarten and now wants to bring it to First Grade! He was talking about when he got it for Christmas and how we were shopping with Gramma Kathy when she bought it. She had him pick it out and she said she was buying it for Cole. {his cousin} Boy, was he excited when he found out it was for HIM! :)
{Time to scrapbook that memory!}
I remembered seeing the pictures, so we got them out and he helped me create the page.
Tomorrow he will bring it to school to share with his class. He is excited about sharing the page and I am excited to have a scrapbook page done! :)
{Jabin even had to help take the picture so I could share it on my blog.}
On a side note Greg is on Vacation this week. He/we are still working on the yard. We have planted grass seed. {Grandma Herdahl you should be proud, we are SO close to having a yard!}
I am working on a few up-coming Stamp Classes and getting ready for Heritage Days on Sunday. I'll have a booth there again this year! I am SO excited! Stay posted for more details!!
Have a great week!!

what have we been up to??

The Boys have been busy with First Grade!! We are all adjusting to a new schedule! :)
The NEW favorite thing for E & J to do is to have us move the cars out of the garage so they can ride bikes! With the new apron & sidewalk Jabin can really Cruz! Evan still has one training wheel so he has to stay "in" the garage to ride.
two boys on bikes
LOTS of skid marks & a dad that just shakes his head!

Greg & I have been working on the last retaining wall. {Mostly Greg, but I was helping.}Meanwhile the boys have had lots of time to ride bike and play in the mud!

Here is the wall we have been working on...
Now Greg has to get the top cap pcs and he should be done with the retaining walls.
{Good Job Greg!! It looks Great!!}
Hopefully Friday the excavators can come back to finish the final grade and the driveway. Then we can plant some grass seed. The Boys would like a swing/play set and Greg would like to take a break & go golfing I'm sure! :)
We'll see what happens.

September 2009 Stamp Club Cards

Sorry for the DELAY on posting my Stamp Club Cards!

These were fun to make. I let the Stamping Ladies choose the designer series paper from a 6x6 hostess assorted pack. We cut two 3/4" x 6" strips off of the 6x6 pc and used the Big Shot to cut out a "Letter" from the Serif Essentials Dies with the "extra" pc of DSP. Then we matched the letter with a definition from the Define Your Life stamp set. Simple, but cute! :)

If you have any questions let me know!

LoVe NoTeS

I try to leave little {love} notes for Greg & the boys.
{I sneak them in their lunches. :)}
This morning I made Evan & Jabin's home lunch and added a little note with a sticker. I had the post-it note pad on the kitchen island and Evan found it, along with the sharpie!
Hmmm, what was he up to?? He told me I couldn't look, so I didn't.
Then he asked me "How do you spell, have?"
I told him and went to help Jabin finish getting ready for school.
We made it to the bus and this is what I found on my Pepsi when I got back to the house... How cute is that?? He just made my day! :)
Have you made someones day lately??
A little note or a hand stamped card would do just that!!
Have a "fun" day!!

The First Day...

The First Day day of September,
The First Day of School and
The First Day of FIRST GRADE!!{Evan}
{Jabin, Mr. I lost a tooth last night!}

They were very excited for school today!

{Oh, Brothers!}
I had MY plans for the day, but they changed when Greg took the day off. We spent quality time together hauling sand, renting a "plate styled compactor" and making cement forms. {as a Bonus he was able to get the boys off to school with me. :)} He has been busy getting ready for cement. He/We would like to get the front sidewalk and garage apron done! Last Friday we had an excavator here making our yard it's final grade. They will be back to finish when "we" finish the cement & last retaining wall. His dad & friend Pat helped us out over the weekend. {Thanks you two!}
Back to today~
In keeping with the First Day of School tradition I baked chocolate chip cookies for the boys. {The idea came from our Oakdale neighbor Karen. :)} We eat them while talking about their day.

They both seemed to have had a great day, like their teacher & class and they both fell asleep on the bus ride home. {and they both missed me! :)}
Now I'm off to fill-out ALL that paperwork they send home on the FIRST day!
