{color renovation}

are you ready for a color renovation??

at first i was thinking no,

but after looking at the new {collections} of color and seeing a returning favorite in color...

...i am ready for the change!! :)

when the {new} catalog comes out in july 2010 you will notice a renovation in the colors. formally known as color families, will be these new color collections, as seen here: to print your own chart click *here*

the five {new} core colors are called Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Cajun Craze, and Cherry Cobbler.

the ten returning In Colors as core colors are Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, River Rock, Soft Suede, Riding Hood Red, Rich Razzleberry, Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, and Baja Breeze.

also, we’ve renamed Kraft to Crumb Cake, and it is a core color in the Neutrals collection.
PLUS, there will be 5 new in colors that will be available for TWO years!! in 2011 there will be another 5 new in colors that will be available for TWO years. After the TWO years the in colors will retire.
Stampin' Up will be offering some kits to help you with the color renovation.
{more info on the kits will be out in june}
with the color renovation sadly some colors must go.

we bid a fond farewell to these colors:

if your {favorite} color is on the farewell list you still have some time to order ink pads, refills & card stock. i wouldn't wait too long though. :)

after hearing of the change i decided to take the plunge and re-arrange my ink pads according to the {new} color collections. i did have most of the returning in colors, because i still use them!

here is my newly arranged ink pad collection:
the brights collection:

the neutrals collection:

the regals collection:

the subtles collection:

here is a close up so you can see how i have organized each ink pad now that the {dots} will not match up for me anymore. i took a different color sharpie marker for each color collection and wrote on each ink pad. here i have a section of the subtles collection and going by the new color collection chart i just numbered each color 1-10 and added a letter to indicate the color collection.
bashful blue has an S for subtles and the 6 because it was #6 in the subtles collection.
{notice S8??? wasabi!!} :)
i will post close up pictures of how i organized my retiring ink pads on another post.
{they are on the bottom of my ink pad holder pictures above.}
i still have to organize my paper and will post pictures of that when i am done.
i hope you are not too overwhelmed!!
PLEASE, PLEASE, let me know if you have ANY questions on these changes!!
